5 AM of KMLA

From 6 PM to 5 AM, every time in KMLA has its own characteristics. 6 PM is a time for dinner, 7 PM to 9 PM is for study and also for the 10 PM to 12 PM. The characters of these times are obvious, but the times after 12 PM has a special and unique feature. Were it not been for the two years spent in here, you would have not realized them. This discovery is based on your own experience, but it seems to be true for the other members of KMLA, too.

12 PM to 1 AM: The time of relaxation

This one hour really passes quickly. After an exhausting four hours of studying, your mental just loses its tension and eager to have a rest. You usually watch Facebook, spend time on Youtube, or talk with my roommates. Time flies faster than a bullet, and you suddenly notice that the time is 1 AM now.

1 AM to 2 AM: The time of realizing reality

Now you realize that you wasted again your precious one hour to finish the homework, but still relieved because you have one hour left until light-off, and you may also sleep later. You start your AP Physics homework and AP English Literature essay, hoping that two tasks would be done in an hour, while it is clearly impossible. As expected, after an hour, none of your assignments are done even they are due to tomorrow. Now the light is gone. You turn on your charged lamp and drink Hotsix or Monster.

2 AM to 3 AM: The time of eased mind

You are super confident in yourself that you will finish the tasks and go to bed at least 3 o'clock. You are eased, and again lose tension, and go to Youtube and Facebook again. Congratulations, the time is 2:30 now. But you are still eased because you can also sleep at 4, and it's okay though. You try to finish the homework within 30 minutes but eventually fail, and now, at 3AM, you have less hope then 1AM, but you have an extra hour to finish assignments.

3 AM to 4 AM: The time of being chased

Finally, you make haste and you finished AP Physics 1 homework, but English Literature essay is remaining. However, something pops out from your mind, that is Mr. Menard's Western Philosophy essay which is due today. You feel doomed, and tries to make a decision between two essays, but you decide to do both of them by not sleeping at night. Now, you are running out of time.

4 AM to 5 AM: The time of 'all or not'

You are working on the AP English essay now. But you have serious trouble now. You feel sleepy. If you sleep now, you will have a terrible score, so you drink one more energy drink. It awakes you, and you hardly open your eyes again to work on your essay.

5 AM to 6 AM: The time of resolution

The essay is done, and you have only the Western Philosophy essay to do. You are not sleepy anymore, but very productive. Writing is done quick; your brain spins fast. You saved the word file and upload in the facebook group. You see outside and notice that the sky is not black as usual, but slightly blue. Time has passed about 5 hours and you almost finished the last essay.

6 AM: Everything is done

Now, the bell rings. It's alarming you to wake up, but you've awakened for the last 24 hours. Your roommates are still sleeping, and wake up 20 minutes later, preparing for the morning exercise. Unlike them, you are not sleepy but afraid of the aftermath of six hours of stay-up. You will have the most energetic morning exercise with your eye clearly opened, but you will also have the hardest classtime ever. That's the trade-off in KMLA.

  1. This is terrible. Well written and fun structure (could easily be used for college essay) but man - I hope this isn't a nightly thing or even a once a week thing. Maybe once a month is okay. If it is more than that, you are killing your brain. Procrastination and killing brain cells go hand in hand. Make sure you live a more healthy life in senior year or your brain will be Windows 10 by the time you get to college.
