My first company : VOICE

Everything comes suddenly, and especially luck does. It is from the book named "Laws of Serendipity", and I was always expecting the moment that luck would suddenly come to me.

It came to me, exactly speaking, us, all a sudden. On the bus going back home, we, the Ongdalsam members were talking about how can we solve the social problems. It was just after the annual volunteering to Cambodia, and we all were full of enthusiasm. We talked about lack of shoes, lack of safe water, and reached to social minority problem. Then the idea suddenly came. Someone said, "How about a lecture platform that lecturer is social minorities, and they give a lecture in school, government, and everywhere they needed?" I thought that was a really great idea, and we started to develop. A few weeks later, the idea was organized, and we thought that this is so good that we decided to make this social-cooperative business as a real-We decided to become entrepreneurs.

The business is basically solving the problem that minorities' voice is not reaching to the whole society. Politicians do not hear their voices, and normal people don't even know about what problem do social minorities have. All people once had a lecture on that issue, talking about the superficial problems of social minorities, but everyone just doesn't know what's the real problem is. We solve it by expiring the idea that normal people are giving a lecture about how to solve social minority problems like disabled people or foreign laborers. We found that it was not practical, and isn't helpful to solve the current social minority problems. For example, to know what physically disabled people want, the best way is hearing the answer from them. Thus, we made a platform that matches the supply and demand of lecture and lecturer, with the lecturer who is really a social minority and can give the best quality of education. It was a really good business model because social minorities could get lecture fee and have an opportunity to become economically independent, and by appropriate lecture, the society can be changed. The Ongdalsam teammates talked about how to develop this business model and the basic structures and details were made withing the big theme, a platform that makes social minorities voice could be heard from society.

Now, our two primary goals are to find a lecturer who is a social minority and willing to join our company and to fill out forms that are needed to enroll in the government in order to make our company a social cooperative. If those two things are done, then we are really starting the business. What I planned to do after 5 years is happening right now; I am nervous of massive responsibility that suddenly came, however, before that, I'm doing the third step of my self-training I mentioned in the last post, therefore,  I'm really happy for doing this work. I will make this business change the world,  unconditionally.

  1. Interesting concept and I hope you were able to get some of this going, though it is always hard to do ambitious things in KMLA with so much always going on. That said, the concept of "moral capitalism" or even "green ecomony" etc. are all things your generation will hopefully achieve. Interesting post. Try to include pictures though. Your blog is a bit visually dry.
